Prof. Sanjoy Roy has authored and edited over 16 books that have become essential resources in social work education and research. His writings cover a wide spectrum of themes such as social legislation, community development, field work training, indigenous social work, and women’s issues. Notable works include Law for Social Workers: Understanding to Praxis (Routledge, 2025), Social Work Education: Indigenous Perspectives (SAGE, 2021), and Field Work Training in Social Work (Routledge, 2019). His books are used across universities in India and internationally.

Prof. Roy's research has been widely published in internationally recognized journals like Nanotechnology Perceptions, International Journal of Community and Social Development (SAGE), PoliTeknik International (Germany), and African Journal of Social Work. His recent work focuses on digital technologies, the rights of trans communities, education, environmental policy, and anti-oppressive social work practices. He continues to contribute to global discussions on equity, inclusion, and justice in social work.
